Antaeus v0.5.0 brings the engine to WebAssembly

An experimental WebAssembly build lets JavaScript hosts evaluate policies with the Antaeus engine and their own fetch transport.

v0.5.0 released .

Antaeus v0.5.0 adds an experimental WebAssembly engine build for JavaScript hosts such as Cloudflare Workers, browsers, and Node.js.

Use the engine from a JavaScript host

The release archive includes a JavaScript module whose start() function returns JSON validate and evaluate calls. The host supplies credentials and can set an absolute deadline for each call. Remote evaluators use the host’s fetch transport.

Each call runs in its own engine instance. Concurrent instances and waiting calls are bounded, and waiting work settles at its own deadline. The host interface returns the same decision contract used by the CLI.

The version-1 interface is experimental and may change in a minor release before v1. CPU use, startup time, and memory had not been measured on Cloudflare’s production runtime at release. The native CLI and container continue to behave as in v0.4.0.
